  1. 21st Century Problem Solving
    This site offers many word problems for students to work out.  This is a great resource for teachers.
  2. AAA Math
    Here is a collection of student interactive math activities, covering just about every math topic imaginable. Grade levels range from K-8, and also include "world levels". A great resource for both teachers and students.
  3. A+Plus Math New
    Good site to review or re-learn basic math facts. Addition, Subtraction, Division, and Multiplication facts can be drilled and reviewed by students on their own time. Also, has an option to print their own flash cards for use in learning Math facts.
  4. Activities Index
    Outstanding! The activities in this site are designed for either group or individual exploration into concepts from middle school mathematics. Several fun interactive activities. Students will find this site fun and will learn in the process. The activities are Java applets and as such require a java-capable browser.
  5. Adding 3 Integers
    This interactive game has students add three integers, both positive and negative. The students are timed, correct and incorrect scores, and students' percentages are recorded and displayed. If students answer incorrectly the correct response is immediately displayed. The game can be played four different ways to give the students variety.
  6. ALEKS
    This site provides a broad range of problems allowing students to practice basic math skills through intermediate algebra. Animated applets show the student how to calculate the answers after they use paper and pencil. A good variety of practice questions are provided with each skill. Your computer must be JAVA enabled.
  7. Algebra.Help
    Site provides interactive quizzes over numerous algebra topics. A student can take a quiz and it is graded upon completion. If the student is stumped on a problem they can receive step-by-step solutions.

    Elementary student site includes content in various areas. The website is a web protal for children to engage in online games, learn concepts and be emerged in a excellent graphical and highly interactive environment.

    Outstanding! Awesome interactive math dictionary. This is an animated dictionary. Students choose the letter of the word they are looking for. Then click on the word and there is a explanation, an interactive problem, and possibly an animated example. Really cool site! and easy to use.

    This is a school web site.  It contains a wonderful interactive section of math and literacy activities.  Very colorful and well put together.  Things like fractions, geometry, computation and much more.

    This site provides links to lessons and activities for math students and teachers.
  12. BBC Schools
    This site provides excellent online lessons that students can work through, great interactive games that allow students to practice various math skills, math songs, movies, and good teacher resources.  There are activities for ages 4 to 16+.  Multiple benchmarks at the elementary, middle school, and high school level are covered.  Click on the math or numeracy links in each age catagory.  An outstanding resource.

    Outstanding - Breaking Away from the Math Book: Creative Projects for Grades K-8. Contains teacher instructions for engaging, hands-on, mathematics problems that go beyond the usual problems found in a text book.  The activities contain very detailed instructions and provide good background information for the teacher.  Excellent illustrations for each project are also included.  The site is very easy to access and very organized.

    This site is an excellent student resource for information, answering questions, and stretching understanding.  Students can choose a variety of areas that help them gain information about various topics.  Very student friendly, both in use and comprehension.

Select a grade level (3-8), then a menu of from 20-28 activities appear for the student to actively participate in. Activities range from simple addition/subtraction to graphing, reflectivity and rotation, geometry, and so much more. A very entertaining and thought-process-provoking site!

The site also offers instructions for use of manipulatives and has a link to the standard covered by each manipulative activity.

    The goals of Project Interactive are the creation, collection, evaluation, and dissemination of interactive java-based courseware for exploration in science and mathematics. At this interactive site students can work with tesselations (where the user generates a polygon that will repeat without overlapping across a plane. Starting from a rectangle, triangle or hexagon, the user bends the lines of the polygon, creating a new polygon. The user can choose several different colors to enhance the pattern, and can observe the different effects that colors have on tessellations), histograms (an activity that allows the user to view and make their own histograms), fraction sorter (an excellent way to learn about what fractions are and practice with them in order to help you understand the correlation between their representation as numerals and their value on the number line), function flyer (an activity that allows the user to explore the effect of changing constants in most types of functions including: linear, quadratic, exponential, trigonometric. The applet allows the manipulation of a function of the form y = f(x). Using slider bars one can manipulate the function to change the constant values and view the effects of those changes.).     Outstanding - This site has several different internet activities. This is a cool site to use to do a unit on the rainforest, this is your math. She has lesson ideas K-6. However, I believe the upper grades could also use this site as a fun review.

    This site can be interactive with students completing the problem of the week and submitting answers on line or problems can be downloaded and used as a whole class project.
